The Music Program A 35 minute musical educational experience for children of all ages and adults. Taking children and adults through an imaginary trip to Latin America through its music, rhythms, geography, and culture. Many percussion instrumentsare played in Latin America and during this performance children will hear them, learn their origins as well as listen to the many rhythms they create.
Tahino performs songs that are children ’s classics or popular in Latin America.Introduce the Mambo, Cha-Cha-Cha, Merengue, Cumbia, etc...This is a fun way to learn about Latin America music, culture and language. Geography and history on this region is also presented. This is an excellent reinforcement for classes that are learning about this region of the world or studying Spanish! |

An Adventure Through Mexico!
Tahino will take children, teachers and parents on a trip to Mexico. They hear and sing songs like Cielito Lindo, La Cucaracha and La Bamba . They will move to the rhythms of Mariachi, Jarabe, and Nortena music. They will learn about Indigenous cultures like the Aztecs and Mayans . A colorful map of Mexico will help reinforce the history, culture, and geography taught during this fun musical performance |

An Adventure Through
Latin America..!
Tahino will take children, teachers and parents on a trip through Latin America,
They will hear the traditional songs like Cha Cha Cha, Cumbia, Mergengue, Plena,Salsa, Samba and Tango.
Teachers and children get to participate on stage playing the traditional instruments , singing and dancing
A colorful map of this region will help reinforce the geography, typical foods, and history taught during this performace. |

An Adventure Through the Andes..!
Tahino will take children, teachers and parents to a trip through the Andean Mountain region of Latin American,
where the indigenous people played a wide variety of music using wind, percussion and string instruments made
of plants and animals. Children And teachers will get on stage and perform many of these instruments like the
Quena that is a wind instrument made of bamboo tubes and the Charango a little guitar
From Peru. They will hear about the Incas who populated this region before European colonization. |

Objectives of Tahino Music for school programs:
1-Introduce children to the many types of music that exist in Latin America, Mariachi, Cumbia, Merengue, Punta, Mambo, Cha-Cha, Soca, Salsa, Calypso, Bossa Nova, Samba, Andean.
2-Introduce children to the many types of musical instruments performed in Latin America Guitar, Cuatro, Charango, Congas, Bongos, Bombo, Maracas, Guiro, Guallo, Claves, Censerro, Tamborin, Chequere, Cabaza, Agogo Bell, Afuchi.
3-Introduce children to geography in Latin America names of countries, capitals, rivers like the Amazon river, mountain ranges like Andean mountain range, Lakes like Lake Titicaca , islands like the Galapagos Islands, famous arqueological sites like Mayan Indian. |
